Joined Swearer Center Staff in 

2022

Savanna Illinger (she/her) joined the Swearer Center in January 2022 as the Communications Coordinator. She collaborates across teams in the Swearer Center and with colleagues across the University to provide inclusive, engaging, and grounded communications support that elevates campus and community voices.

Before joining the center, Savanna managed Sociedad Latina's College & Career Pathways program facilitating communications, curriculum development, student advising, and assessment reporting in collaboration with partners across Boston organizations. She holds a B.A. from Boston University, where her involvement with the Intergenerational Literacy Program (ILP) and the Howard Thurman Center informed her career-long investment in community engagement and education access. After ten years in Boston, she is excited to engage with the Brown and Providence community. In her free time, Savanna enjoys hiking, embroidering, writing, and spending time with her family and her cat, Jellybean.
