Hey y'all! I'm Jalen, and I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I'm a member of the Class of 2022, and I am extremely excited to begin my journey at Brown! My intended concentration seems to change nearly every month, but as of right now I am interested in Sociology, International Relations, and Ethnic Studies. My favorite genres of music are R&B and Neo-Soul, and my favorite artists are probably Beyoncé, Kelela, and Janelle Monáe. In my free time, I enjoy going on spontaneous adventures with my friends like exploring Downtown Austin and kayaking in Lady Bird Lake (despite not knowing how to swim).
