Hello, my name is Peter, and I am originally from New York City. Academically, I am interested in post-colonial and independence education in African nations; and more specifically, how students were taught and how they learned following the end of formal colonization. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, trying new restaurants in Providence and listening to soca and reggae music!

I also participated in the Swearer Center's Careers in the Common Good Winternships Program the winter following my first semester. Through that program, I interned at Park East High School in New York, New York.

How has Bonner impacted your time at Brown? I believe that engaging in justice work begins with cultivating an intentionally critical and caring community. I consider this community to be many of the members who make up the Bonner Program. This sense of community has provided me with joy, strength and enduring hope!
