Beth is a first-generation immigrant from the Philippines, a first-generation college student and the first in her school to apply to study in the US. Growing up in a small town in England, she regularly ventures to her local city, Bristol, in order to find volunteering and work opportunities. As well as volunteering and campaigning for organizations such as Amnesty International and BBC Children in Need, she has worked a range of jobs: from being a cinema host to a Christmas elf, a pot-washer to a touring actor.
