Andrew Bierle is a rising senior at Brown University concentrating in International Relations. Inspired by his hometown just outside of Yellowstone National Park, Andrew is particularly interested in the crossroads of environmental protection and economic activity, focusing on environmentally sustainable development. In addition to studying Arabic and French, he is following the Political Economy and Society track within the International Relations concentration in hopes of one day working in environmental policy. Since graduating from an international high school in Armenia, Andrew has returned to the country to work as a research assistant at the Initiatives for the Development of Armenia Foundation and as an event coordinator for the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity. Since coming to Brown, he has written for several online political publications, including the Brown Political Review. When he’s not in the classroom, Andrew is usually outside on a long run or leading a trip for the Brown Outing Club.
