Isiah Peter Iñiguez grew up in Los Angeles, California. A first generation Mexican-American and the first in his family to attend college, he is studying Public Policy and Education Studies. Isiah has been a site director for an educational non-profit organization and conducted research around discipline policies that disproportionately affect students of color at the University of Pennsylvania. He has also interned on Capitol Hill through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and at the Rhode Island Department of Education. This past summer, Isiah was a Public Policy & International Affairs fellow at Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School where he used his quantitative skills to explain health disparities and the social determinants of health in Rhode Island. At Brown, Isiah was appointed to the Undergraduate Council of Students Financial Aid Advisory Board and is a mentor to other first-generation college students. Isiah hopes to attend law school and run for public office in the future.
