Linda Medina is a senior at Brown University, concentrating in Public Policy and Ethnic Studies. She is interested in examining the exclusionary and violent nature of borders and immigration policy. Linda’s desire to further her own understanding of the evolving concepts of citizenship and statelessness led her to participate in the International Honors Program: Human Rights Foundations, Challenges, and Advocacy, to d has studied racial ethnic caucusing as a way to address implicit bias in the juvenile justice system. Additionally, Linda cares deeply about creating spaces for students of color and first generation college students to feel well-supported and have access to higher-education. At Brown, Linda has served as a minority recruitment intern in the admissions office, a minority peer counselor, and a co-coordinator for the Matched Advising Program for sophomores.
