Yovana Cortez is a senior at Brown University concentrating in political science.  She is very interested in education policy and passionate about education reform and expanding access to educational opportunities, particularly to first generation and low-income students. Yovana looks forward to bringing her knowledge of the challenges faced by first generation, immigrant students to the Senate committee and learn to be an advocate not only for herself, but also for her community.
