I will investigate the economic, environmental, and social impacts of the Argan oil market on indigenous North African (Amazigh) women and their communities in Morocco. The research will identify the extent to which the commercialization of the Argan plant has created opportunities for Amazigh women to enter the job market, and how it has constituted an important change in the family dynamics of the North African communities involved.
