I will attend the University of Vienna Summer School for International and European Studies, housed at the Bürglgut, which once belonged to my great-grandparents. Subsequently occupied by high-ranking Nazi Ernst Kaltenbrunner’s family, and, later, concentration camp orphans and displaced persons, the property has a turbulent history. I plan to document my direct encounter with it while engaging in German language and European Studies courses.
