Matt McShea grew up playing hockey and lacrosse in Winnetka, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. Matt attended three years of high school at New Trier High School before transferring for two more years at Phillips Exeter Academy in hopes of pursuing the highest level of academics and athletics. There he became a National Merit Finalist, Student Council Budget Committee Head and Senior of the Year by the Exonian newspaper. Matt spent last summer as a 24/7 personal counselor for the only autistic camper at Maine Teen Camp. His hobbies, outside of sports, include reading and creative video production.
