From Sappho to Queen Latifah: An In-Depth Study of Classical and Modern Performances

Art examined the similarities between the Greek lyric poetry of Sappho and contemporary rap of Queen Latifah. While their words, sentiments and eras mights differ, the essences of their performances are strikingly similar.
Ari now lives in San Jose and teaches in the Bay Area. She is preparing to begin a Master's or Ph.D. program in Educational Policy and is taking classes in Sociology and African-American Studies.
