Run It Back: A Black Digital Radio History

Run It Back is a Black digital humanities project that highlights the neglected history of Black radio production as a form of critical resistance within the United States. Run It Back brings Black analog radio into the digital age of #BlackLivesMatter through an online chronology that incorporates archival recordings of Black radio programs and contemporary interviews. This project intends to not only recover a history of Black radio production but also seeks to preserve it for generations to come; bridging the gap between modes of Black media production of the past, present and future.
