The Role of TAF4b in Burkitt’s Lymphoma and Potential for Diagnostics and Treatment

Faculty Sponsor: Richard Freiman

Colin investigated the role of the molecule TAF4b in Burkitt’s lymphoma, a potential deadly malignancy that primarily affects children in Eastern Africa. Because of the critical part it plays in human cell growth and regulation, TAF4b has great potential as a novel therapeutic or diagnostic target in this disease.

Upon graduating from Brown University, Colin worked for two years at the Boston Public Health Commission in chronic disease prevention, and now he is a medical student at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
