Reversing Drug Resistance in Bacteria

Faculty Sponsor: Jason Sello

Dan synthesized and characterized a library of novel compounds that have the potential to reverse antibiotic resistance in bacteria. These compounds were tested on live strains in an iterative process to optimize their activity. The research will contribute to efforts to restore the efficacy of powerful antibacterial drugs whose utility has been compromised by resistance.

Dan was a consultant for the Life Sciences division of Simon-Kucher and Partners in Cambridge, MA. He is currently the Manager for the Life Sciences division of Simon-Kucher & Partners in San Francisco.
