Addressing Juvenile Sex Offending in Psychology and Law

Faculty Sponsor: Ross Cheit

Elliot Epstein researched legal and psychological perspectives of juvenile sexual offending at Rhode Island's Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). His research informed and helped revise current DCYF policy and staff training regarding juvenile sex offenders.

After graduating, Elliot was a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs through the Coro New York Leadership Center, which provided a view on how local, state and federal policies shape public life. Afterwards, he joined the New York City Teach For America Corps and taught elementary school from 2007-2009, and then the Teach For America's Recruitment Team, where he managed recruitment at many selective schools in the northeast and also served on the Senior Admissions Committee. From 2012-2014, Elliot worked at Two Sigma Investments, a tech-driven hedge fund and now he is about to begin as Director of Recruiting at Success Academy Charter Schools in New York City.
