Faculty Sponsor: Carolyn Dean

Emma researched the rich history of work done by Brown undergraduates towards ending relationship violence, rape, and sexual assault since 1976. She created a conference that brings together alumnae, current undergraduates and other members of the Brown and Providence communities, as well as an archive of transcribed interviews and conference proceedings.

Emma received her Ph.D. from Cornell. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Modern French and European History at Northern Illinois University.
