Exchanging Indigenous Healthcare for Conservations Sustainable Medical Garden and Clinic

Esme intended to start an organic, community-worked medical garden and farm on the edge of Gunung Palung National Park in Borneo. The garden will help support a clinic and future hospital, combining western and traditional medicine, in which local communities can pay for health-care through conservation and reforestation work-projects.

Esme is currently a Researcher & M.D. Candidate at UCSF. Previously, Esme conducted socioeconomic research for Health in Harmony (Indonesian NGO).
