Through a case study of African-American suburbanization of Southern Cook County, Illinois, Ethan examined racial integration in suburban America and the state of race and class in suburbia.

Ethan received his J.D. from Harvard University Law School in 2008. He was an associate with Kasowitz, Benson, Torres and Friedman LLC and is currently the Deputy General Counsel for the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, a national housing nonprofit based in Boston, MA.
