Hugo will conduct video interviews with fifteen Kofán elders from several communities in the Northeastern Ecuadoran Amazon. He will chronicle their life histories, record traditional stories and translate select parts into both Spanish and English for the Kofán Heritage Project Website. Hugo will also conduct research at archives and museums in Quito, Ecuador to investigate the known history of the Kofán people. Hugo hopes to educate the wider public about the history and culture of the Kofán people and create educational materials for Kofán schools.
