Jacob chronicled the architecture of Brown University that never came to fruition, paying particular attention to why designs were passed over in lieu of the ones we see today. Through this “reverse image” architectural history, he uncovered a deeper understanding of Brown’s physical campus and its origins.

Jacob left Brown and spent two years teaching in the New York City public schools with Teach for America. He received his Masters in Architecture from Yale in 2008 and joined REX Architecture. In 2013 Jacob joined the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture staff and was the Assistant Curator at the 2014 US pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale. Jacob is currently a Designer at Ennead Architects and an Editor at CLOG. He lives and works in New York City.
