Jeremy explored the genetic impact and health disparities surrounding a class of toxicants called phthalates. A ubiquitous plastic softener, phthalates are hypothesized to have negative effects on fertility and operate by a unique epigenetic mechanism. The potential toxicity of phthalates and insufficient resources to inform communities, guided Jeremy to address this issue via basic scientific research, open-sourced data, and a community engaged epidemiologic study.

Jeremy is currently the Chief Student Intern and National Student Intern Coordinator at Green & Healthy Homes Initiative. GHHI is a national NGO that works to improve low-income housing though weatherization, health and safety interventions in order to create more sustainable, affordable and healthier community.
