John will undertake a reading of St. Augustine’s Confessions as part of a collaborative project on the legacy of Virgil with professors Michael Putnam and Jan Ziolkowski. He will examine several commentaries on the works of Virgil to trace the development of Virgilian interpretation and criticism.
