Joshua will conduct a comprehensive analysis of Palestinian, Israeli and Jordanian attitudes toward the allocation of water in the Jordan Valley. He will assess the current political climate and determine the most feasible method of distributing the remaining water equitably.

Joshua accepted a Fulbright Award, 2001-2002. He returned and earned his M.A. in Creative Writing in 2007 from the University of Illinois at Chicago, He recently received his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California College of Arts and Letters. His stories and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in Shenandoah, World Literature Today, Tin House Online, Kenyon Review Online and other journals. He is also the fiction editor for Tikkun.
