Julie will develop an American sign language dictionary prototype. Her project consists of the systematic reorganization of an existing ASL dictionary to make it more accessible to deaf people with little to no knowledge of the English language.

Julie continued her studies at Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School where she received her medical degree. She has been in practice for nine years as a family medicine doctor in Hartford, Connecticut and is on the faculty at the University of Connecticut.
