Buddhist meditation for spiritual purposes as adjunctive treatment for Thai breast cancer patients
Breast cancer patients often suffer enormous emotional and physical challenges from undergoing surgery and chemoradiation, adding stress and tensions to families, friends, and their individual well-being. Contemplative practices of meditation and the use of spiritual support may alleviate these problems but they have not yet been studied in Thai Buddhist breast cancer patients. This project is a naturalistic, cross-sectional study investigating how Buddhist meditation affects treatment experiences and outcomes of Thai breast cancer patients.
