Liyuan Ao’21 is from China and Singapore, pursuing a B.A. in literary arts, and modern media and culture. She is a multi-media storyteller, working with versatile narrative forms ranging from photography, theater, to writing. She has organized educational programs for multi-racial and underprivileged students in Sichuan, China, and Sapa, Vietnam. Moreover, she has founded an education institute in Shanghai, China, and has developed an approach to foster students’ creativity, critical thinking, character-building, social-emotional well-being, and resilience through expressive arts. She is passionate about pursuing her passion for storytelling and developing her own teaching approach and education philosophy.
