Urban Sustainability in the 21st Century: The Case of Curitiba and its Implications for Progress in US Cities

Matthew explored the innovative city and transportation planning of Curitiba, Brazil. He examined how city planners currently address rapid urbanization, growth, sanitation and transportation. After conducting such research, he compared his results to land use and transportation in specific American cities.

Currently, Matthew lives in Washington, D.C. where he works as a management consulting at Touchstone Consulting Group. Matt's work includes projects as diverse as working in the Project Management Office (PMO) at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); management strategy consultant to the executive leadership of the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the New England Fishery Management Council; and an analyst and consultant for the Executive Office of the President's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) E-Government team.
