Meghan will conduct a mixed-methods study exploring nonadherence to iron chelation therapy among emerging adult patients with thalassemia - a chronic blood disorder. Meghan will survey treatment satisfaction and other behavioral factors, as well as conduct qualitative interviews, so as to better grasp the factors that inform nonadherence within the larger psychosocial context of living with a chronic illness.
