Black-Face Minstrel Shows: Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Performativity and Representations of Race in Public Theatre

Melba addressed representations of race and identity within American theater through the examination of minstrel shows in the Deep South from 1800 to 1890. She focused specifically on the industry of minstrel shows in four Southern cities.

In 2012 Melba attended Oxford University to study Europeon Union Law. She returned and recently completed law school at the University of Minnesota.
