Pam will explore the writings of Arabic-speaking intellectuals who immigrated to Argentina from Syria and Lebanon in the early 20th century. For her honors thesis she will collect writings from archives in Buenos Aires, translate them, and examine their historical importance.

Pamela received a Fulbright grant to study Arabic language and literature at the University of Damascus, Syria. After returning she earned her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. She is currently an Associate Legal Counsel at Cedars-Sinai Technology Transfer Office, with an emphasis on intellectual property law. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Ms. Collingwood worked in the Global Corporate Department of the international law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP.
