Robin will continue her work with the women's division of the Rhode Island Adult Correctional Institution. She will facilitate and organize theater art, creative expression and reading workshops with women inmates, compile a book of written and visual art by participants and document her experience with the inmates and prison administration.

While at Brown Robin won the Barbara Banks Brodsky prize in fiction. After working as an employment discrimination investigator in San Francisco, CA for two years, she went back to school and received an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. Her 2005 chapbook, The Tilt, won the Michael Rubin Prize in Fiction. She published her first full-length collection of stories, The Mother Garden in 2007. She published her memoir, The Mercy Papers in 2010. She teaches for the low-residency MFA program at Warren Wilson College and lives in Portland, Oregon.
