Atmospheric boundary layer height and pollution distribution in La Paz, Bolivia: integrating environmental policy and atmospheric research
In La Paz, Bolivia, a high-altitude city located in the Central Andes, the primary sources of air pollution can largely be controlled through local mitigation techniques. Through a combination of data collection of pollutants, analyzing atmospheric conditions, and understanding current policies and actions in place, Sara will work to understand the conditioning factors leading to air pollution and its distribution in La Paz, Bolivia. By integrating the analysis of pollution distribution within the context of local politics, she will identify the conditioning factors contributing to air pollution and its distribution, highlighting the factors that can be mitigated through policy change.
