Sexual Histories: Tracing the Origins of the Current United States STD Partner Notification System

Faculty Sponsor: Melissa Clark

Sara researched past and present policies of partner notification for sexually transmitted diseases, focusing particularly on syphilis, at the National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health. She hoped to draw conclusions as to how the current debates over partner notification began and project the future of this practice based on its historical context.

Sara was a fellow in Rheumatology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA, for three years. She is now the Instructor in Medicine and Associate Physician in Rheumatology in the Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
