She is also the President of the Girl Up Club which advocates and fundraises for girl’s education, health, and safety, as well as educates the community on issues of gender equality. Savannah is a nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician, licensed in Rhode Island and New Jersey, and is a Supervisor Candidate for Brown’s Emergency Medical Services. Savannah is finishing her CPR Instructor Certification and serves as a member of Brown’s Emergency Response Team.

In addition to her emergency medicine research, she works on Neuroscience research studying a range of topics including behavioral decision-making, model-based vs. model-free learning, and the impact of delirium following stroke. Savannah has also held multiple legal and policy-based internships, such as working as an Honors Litigation intern for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. She has worked for a member of the U.S House of Representatives where she helped with constituent casework, especially those applying for Medicare. Most recently Savannah was selected to intern for the Rhode Island Senate Policy office, where she will focus on health policy and law. She has done consulting work through the Collegiate Consulting Group, where she worked with a rising national company to expand their market size and increase the use of their product. Finally, Savannah enjoys mentoring new students in her roles as a Residential Peer Counselor and Meiklejohn Academic Advisor. In her free time, Savannah loves to spend time with family and friends and listen to podcasts while working out.
