Faculty Sponsor: Forrestt Gander

Sheena researched and translated short stories by contemporary female Argentine writers, addressing a large gap in Anglophone familiarity with the female voice in Latin American literature. Her work resulted in a collection of translated fiction and critical essays.

Sheena received a dual degree from Brown and RISD, she went on to graduate work at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She was the Assistant Designer for Tracy Reese and a textile designer for Cole Haan. She is currently the founder and chief designer for abaci, a womenswear collection of eclectic, wearable pieces that juxtapose traditional textiles with updated, playful shapes
