Low-)owered Fully Integrated Wireless Transceiver for Neural Implants

Faculty Sponsor: Dean Lawrence Larson

Subhradip designed and fabricated chips that wirelessly transmits neural motor signals from the brain to external systems. Ten thousands of the micro-chips will be implanted in the nerve endings of the brain. Using neural data, the user will be able to control a machine just by thinking. Not only will Subhradip’s research be useful to a paralyzed patient participant in the BrainGate project, but it will also lay the groundwork for increased industrial productivity in future.
