Transnational Sex Work Activism(s): Untold Stories of Feminist Movements in South Korea and the United States
Yanhoo will research two feminist organizations located in Providence and Seoul, Coyote RI and Hansasŏng (Korea Cyber Sexual Violence Response Center) respectively. Through comparative ethnography, Yanhoo will probe how each organization’s activists shape their agendas and respond to issues surrounding sex work economies. Ultimately looking for points of agreements between the two will show us how these two locations can inform a global understanding of sex work economies.
