With support from the Office of Institutional Research, this dashboard contains data on student participation in Swearer programs for the 2018/19 and 2021/22 academic years. The Tableau dashboard contains data on the total population of students enrolled in Swearer programs as well as subsets of data for members of the graduating class for each academic year, including data on students’ choices and pathways in their lives after Brown. Piloted in 2006 and fully implemented in 2009, the National Assessment of Service and Community Engagement (NASCE) has grown over the past 7 years into a widely used and respected assessment tool for measuring and expressing community engagement among U.S. colleges and universities. Today, more than 57,000 undergraduates from more than 80 distinct institutions across 20 states have completed the NASCE survey. Brown University administered the survey for the first time in 2016.
