Cicek Beeby’s research explores the art, archaeology, and social history of Greece in the Early Iron Age and the Archaic periods. Her interests include burial practices, funerary art, bioarchaeology, urbanization, state-formation, and spatial analysis.

Amanda recently completed her Ph.D. in Classics and Archaeology from Stanford University with a dissertation titled "Earthquakes and the Structuring of Greco-Roman Society: The Longue Durée of Human-geological Environment Relationships at Helike, Greece." She received an M.A. in Anthropology at Stanford and her B.A.
Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Egyptology and Assyriology
I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Egyptology at Brown University, where I also defended my doctoral dissertation on ancient Egyptian verbal derivation in 2019. I received my BA in Egyptology from the University of Liverpool in the UK in 2012 and my MA from Leiden University in the Netherlands in 2013.
