Zoe Zimmermann '22.5

Undergraduate Concentrator

Biography

Zoe graduated with concentrations in both Early Modern World and History. History was her favorite subject in school for as long as she can remember (way before “Hamilton” made it cool), but she was particularly drawn to the EMW concentration because its interdisciplinary nature allows her to explore different facets of the early modern world that history concentrators might not normally be exposed to during their undergraduate years. Her focus is on the early modern Atlantic world and the colonization of the Americas, and she is writing her thesis on the French colonial presence in North America and its relationships with Indigenous communities.
