Undergraduate Research Colloquium

The Department of East Asian Studies cordially invites you to the inaugural "East Asian Studies Undergraduate Research Colloquium". This undergraduate research colloquium provides an opportunity for Brown undergraduate students – regardless of concentration – to present completed works or works-in-progress about East Asia to their peers and interested faculty members. 

Presenters:

  • Yuanyuan Fang: "Black is the New Pink: Gothic Lolitas in Japanese Pop Culture.”

  • Rebecca Li: “A Wayfarer in Straw Sandals - a study on the life and poetry of Su Shi.” 

  • Nicole Yow Wei: "One more Christian, One less Chinese: Chinese Christian theological discourse in Republican China.”
