Abhishek Bhattacharjee, Dept. of Computer Science, Rutgers, will present a talk in HW/SW Interface Seminar Series: "Computer System for Neuroscience". Abstract: Computer systems are vital to advancing our understanding of the brain. From embedded chips in brain implants to server systems used for large-scale brain modeling frameworks, computer systems help us shed light on the connections between low-level neuronal spiking activity and high-level functionality. This talk will show the challenges facing such computer systems.

The school will be hosting Town Hall meetings for all students (undergrad and grad) to discuss topics of interest from students with the administration. The format will be open discussion, with students able to ask questions and share ideas and observations. Students may also request to be on the agenda and lead a discussion. The intention of the Town Hall meetings is to encourage dialogue and feedback on student curricular, programmatic, as well as diversity and inclusion topics and also be a forum for discussion and connections among students.
