All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the 256th Opening Convocation on September 3rd, to welcome new students to Brown. President Christina Paxson will officially open the school year and the keynote address will be delivered by Rashid Zia, Dean of the College, Associate Professor of Engineering, Associate Professor of Physics. The procession of incoming students will form on College Street beginning at 3:30 pm and the ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm on the Main Green. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held in Pizzitola.

All students are encouraged to attend the UTA Microteaching Session in the afternoon to practice what they have learned.
