Professors Granted Innovation Vouchers

Three Brown Faculty Members Receive Two RI Innovation Vouchers

            Two local companies will partner with Brown School of Engineering faculty members Iris Bahar, Jennifer Franck and Sherief Reda, sharing $100,000 in the next round of Innovation Vouchers awards. The Innovation Voucher program lets small businesses unlock research and development capacity in Rhode Island, as the companies receive the grant to fund R&D assistance from a university, research center or medical center.

Engineering Honor Society

28 Students Inducted into Tau Beta Pi at Brown

Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society, inducted 28 new members into the Rhode Island Alpha chapter at Brown University on Friday, December 2. Thirteen juniors were inducted along with 15 seniors.

SWE Hosts 10th Annual "Extreme Gingerbread House" Competition

The Brown University Society for Women Engineers (SWE) will be sponsoring its 10th annual "Extreme Gingerbread House" Competition on Friday, December 2, from 4-6 p.m. in the lobby of the Barus and Holley building.
