Neelam Srivastava, Senior Lecturer in Postcolonial Literature at Newcastle University and Visiting Scholar in the Department of English, will present a talk titled "An Italian Difference? Gramsci, Anti-colonial Thought, and 'Resistance Aesthetics'" on April 21, 2016, 12:00 noon, in the Department of English, 70 Brown Street, Room. 315. This talk will examine the history of Italian internationalism and anti-colonialism from Gramsci's “Prison Notebooks” to contemporary "Italian Theory." Response by Nicola Perugini (Post-doctoral Fellow, Cogut Center for the Humanities and Department of Italian Studies).
