James N. Green honored by Brazilian Amnesty Commission

This week the Brazilian Amnesty Commission, a body of the Brazilian Ministry of Justice, awarded Professor James N. Green and six others human rights activists certificates thanking them for their efforts in favor of human rights in Brazil during the military dictatorship (1964-85). The ceremony took place during an international conference organized at Brown University entitled Brazil: Amnesty, Transitional Justice, and the Legacy of the Brazilian Military Dictatorship and held at the Watson Institute for International Studies.
