The Cogut Institute participates in many interdisciplinary initiatives throughout the year. In addition, we are key players in ongoing collaborations to promote the research, study, and enjoyment of the humanities at Brown.

Key current initiatives include Humanities in the World, which seeks to foster debate on the humanities in a global context and also to consider the role of the humanities in relation to issues of public and worldly concern; the Religion and Internationalism Project, an interdisciplinary collaboration that offers colloquia through the year; and Political Concepts, a collaborative consortium including scholars from Columbia, Brown, New York University and Tel Aviv University, which holds conferences to promote interdisciplinary reflection on key concepts in contemporary political discourse.
