Entries must be submitted online via Literary Arts Prize Application by 11:59 pm on  2 March 2016. No late entries will be considered. Entries sent by electronic mail, facsimile transmission, campus mail, US mail, courier service, etc., will not be considered. You may submit one entry in each category in which you are eligible (categories may limit eligibility and manuscript length; see prize listing at brown.edu/cw for more details). To apply for more than one prize, you must fill out a separate online form for each category in which you are eligible. Unless specified, your entry may be a series or single text and must be uploaded as a .pdf file.  If your work cannot easily be sent in this format (i.e., it has sculptural elements that you do not feel you can document it in any but three-dimensional models or other hand-delivered materials), fill out the online form, and deliver the work to the Literary Arts Department at 68.5 Brown Street by 4:00 p.m. on 2 March 2016.   Please call ext. 3-3260 if you have questions.

Your name must not appear anywhere on your written work. If your name does appear on the entry, it will be disqualified. Entries will not be returned after the competition (with the exception of art books or other hand-delivered materials). Winning entries will be sent to the University Archives. Manuscripts will be reviewed by judges selected by the Literary Arts faculty. The University reserves the right to withhold any award. The judges’ decisions will be final.

Please read prize qualifications and rules carefully.  You may be disqualified if you do not abide by the prize specifications.

Notification will be made mid-April 2016.
