Poet Mark McMorris’s books include EntrepôtThe Café at LightThe Blaze of the Poui, The Black ReedsMoth-Wings, and Palinurus Suite.  Two-time winner of the Contemporary Poetry Series Prize, he has also been the recipient of The Gertrude Stein Award in Innovative American Poetry. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1960, he has taught at Brown University, the University of California at Berkeley, and Georgetown University, where he is currently Associate Professor of English.  A critic and fiction writer as well as a poet, his work has appeared widely in periodicals and anthologies in the United States.
